The Founding of

SwanStream Global

As the number of their businesses grew, Sig Swanstrom and Peggy Swanstrom saw the need for coordination, and the benefit of cross-pollinating different ventures, skills and expertise.  This led to the formation of SwanStream, a consortium of business consultants.

At SwanStream, each consultant focuses on their own area of expertise, but these efforts are coordinated and fully integrated.  This diverse group of SwanStream experts work together with each other, and with their clients and partners, to form a powerful team.  The SwanStream consultants also serve as team builders, pooling talents and using the skills and experience of each individual to form the building blocks of success.

SwanStream clients have access to the full gamut of tools needed for effective management, creative problem solving and timely decision making, so that they can improve profitability and achieve sustained growth.

Operating as a hub, SwanStream brings together talented consultants with different professional expertise and a broad range of experience, so that problem solving can become more targeted, decision making more informed, and management more sprightly.

When SwanStream builds a hub of activity, brainstorming becomes more effective, informed decisions are made faster, decisive action can be implemented sooner, and the mechanism to identify new solutions and opportunities becomes more robust.

In recent years, founders Sig and Peggy Swanstrom have chosen to divide their time between their own enterprises and helping charitable organizations, so the resources of SwanStream are now being applied to the nonprofit world, too.  The strength of the SwanStream “hub” concept is now available to help business and non-profit managers accelerate growth and innovation, establish profit-nonprofit alliances, and to facilitate new hybrid ventures of business-with-a-heart.

An example of this is the aircraft manufacturing facility that Sig Swanstrom built in Central America.  This venture, which Sig conceived and personally established, has received recognition from several governments and the World Bank.  It has demonstrated that contemporary apprenticeship methods can be used to educate and train people in Majority World countries, thereby providing them with better employment, and their nation an improved economy.

In this case, the project solved several vexing problems.  It overcame the obstacles which were preventing a U.S. company from growing.  It reduced the cost of manufacturing to keep U.S. products competitive in the world market.  And, it superseded out-of-date regulations and legal entanglements which prevented the U.S. owned company from competing internationally.  At the same time, it also demonstrated that it is economically viable to bring modern technology jobs to underprivileged regions of the world.

The result was dramatic.  More jobs were created for U.S. workers.  Higher-paying jobs and education was provided to people living in an economically disadvantaged region of the world.  National pride and a renewed sense of hope was nurtured for the people of a war ravaged country.  And higher quality, safer, more durable, and more competitively-priced products were delivered to the world market.

Wealth was created.  Hope was nurtured.  Lives improved.

Sig Swanstrom with the aid of his SwanStream team, designed this business to both solve a problem for a U.S. manufacturer, and to also be a self-sustaining job-creation and skill-training project that would benefit under-educated economically-disadvantaged people.  It was a classic win-win.  A major problem for a U.S. manufacturer was solved, and disadvantaged people were given a hand-up.  And, government assistance and charitable donations were unnecessary to achieve these results.

Today, Sig Swanstrom continues to apply this same combination of creativity and sound business practices to assist both for-profit and non-profit ventures at home and abroad. He oversees his own ventures, and assists others personally and through the capable assistance of his SwanStream team of seasoned professionals.

Sig Swanstrom’s life as an entrepreneur is characterized by creativity, by the skilful application of time-tested free market business practices, and by Jesus-model relational and purpose principles.  Not only has Sig founded new companies in several different industries, he has brought new life to established companies, acquired and combined companies to realize increased efficiencies and profits, and has developed and refined business systems to achieve heightened levels of productivity.  Today, his team of SwanStream colleagues do these same things for their clients.

With experience that spans three decades, SwanStream team members provide experience ranging from manufacturing to service management, from finance to marketing, from raising venture capital to executive security, from hospitality to the development of online retail.  Whatever the industry, SwanStream associates are available to provide knowledgeable, practical help.

Over the years, SwanStream has assembled an impressive cadre of professionals with complementary skills and broad experiences.  Together they apply their diverse expertise and knowledge, providing professional depth alongside a firm commitment to deliver individualized attention and impeccable service.

Business-with-a-purpose in addition to profit is the focus of the SwanStream team of seasoned entrepreneurs and professionals.  And, to help foundations and nonprofits be more business-like and entrepreneurial in achieving their charitable purpose.

The SwanStream team enjoys helping businesses on either a consultation or partnership basis, as well as aiding charitable organizations, NGOs  and government agencies who are willing to think and operate as nonprofit entrepreneurs.  SwanStream business and nonprofit consultants, management services and security professionals operate worldwide to help with short-term projects or long-term endeavors.
